Scan, Camera & Automation — Barcode-Verified, Camera-Documented Operations
Barcode scanning at every touchpoint, CCTV-linked transactions, IoT environmental monitoring, and photo-documented dispatch for fully automated warehouse accountability.
Automate Your WarehouseEvery Scan Verified. Every Movement Documented.
Manual warehouse processes are error-prone, unverifiable, and impossible to audit at scale. ProWMS replaces manual verification with scan-enforced workflows, links CCTV footage to transaction timestamps, monitors environmental conditions through IoT sensors, and captures photographic evidence at dispatch — creating an operation where every action is verified, documented, and auditable.
Barcode & QR Scanning
Every warehouse transaction — receipt, putaway, pick, pack, dispatch — validated by barcode or QR scan. Eliminates manual data entry errors across the entire operation.
CCTV Integration
Warehouse CCTV feeds linked to transaction timestamps. Disputed shipments, damage claims, and security incidents can be reviewed with video evidence tied to exact events.
IoT Sensor Monitoring
Temperature, humidity, and environmental sensors monitored in real time. Excursions trigger automated alerts and log against affected inventory batches for compliance.
Automated Gate-In/Out
Vehicle arrival and departure tracked with scan-based gate management. Dock assignment, turnaround time measurement, and automated waiting alerts for operations teams.
Scan-Based Audit
Cycle counts and inventory audits performed entirely via barcode scanning. Location scan confirms the right spot, item scan confirms the right product, quantity entered digitally.
Pick-by-Scan Workflows
Pickers guided by mobile devices — scan location barcode, scan item barcode, confirm quantity. Wrong location or wrong item triggers immediate rejection with audio alert.
Photo Capture at Dispatch
Packed shipments photographed at the pack station before sealing. Images linked to the order record as proof of contents, condition, and packing quality for dispute resolution.
Weight Scale Integration
Weighing scales integrated at pack and dispatch stations. Actual weight auto-captured and compared against expected weight — flagging discrepancies before carrier handoff.
How Warehouse Automation Works
Six layers from device setup to operational analytics.
Device & Infrastructure Setup
Barcode scanners, CCTV cameras, IoT sensors, and weighing scales installed and connected to ProWMS. Device health monitoring ensures continuous uptime.
Barcode Configuration
SKU barcodes, location barcodes, and container barcodes configured in the system. Label printing rules set up for inbound, storage, and outbound operations.
Scan Workflow Activation
Every transaction type — receipt, putaway, pick, pack, transfer, adjustment, dispatch — linked to mandatory scan steps. No transaction completes without scan verification.
CCTV Event Linking
CCTV feeds synchronized with ProWMS transaction timestamps. Any transaction can be reviewed with corresponding video footage for investigations or audits.
IoT Alert Configuration
Temperature, humidity, and environmental thresholds configured per zone. Excursions trigger real-time alerts to operations teams and log against affected inventory.
Analytics & Optimization
Device usage, scan rates, exception frequencies, and processing times analyzed to identify bottlenecks and optimize warehouse layout and staffing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of barcode scanning does ProWMS support?
ProWMS supports 1D barcodes (Code 128, Code 39, EAN/UPC), 2D barcodes (QR codes, Data Matrix), and GS1-128 barcodes with embedded batch, expiry, and serial data. Scanning works with handheld Bluetooth scanners, camera-based mobile scanning on Android devices, and fixed-mount scanners at conveyor stations. The system auto-detects barcode format and extracts embedded data.
How does CCTV integration help with dispute resolution?
Every ProWMS transaction is timestamped. When a customer disputes shipment contents or a damage claim is filed, the operations team can pull the exact CCTV footage from the pack station at the time the order was packed. This video evidence — showing what was packed, how it was packed, and the condition at sealing — resolves disputes factually rather than relying on claims and counterclaims.
What IoT sensors does ProWMS integrate with?
ProWMS integrates with temperature sensors (cold chain monitoring), humidity sensors (moisture-sensitive products), door sensors (cold room access tracking), and smoke/fire sensors. Sensor data is logged continuously, and configurable threshold breaches trigger real-time alerts via dashboard, SMS, and email. All sensor readings are stored for compliance reporting and audit trails.
Is barcode scanning mandatory for all warehouse operations?
Barcode scanning can be configured as mandatory or optional per transaction type. For most operations — goods receipt, picking, packing, and dispatch — we recommend mandatory scanning as it eliminates manual errors and creates a verifiable digital trail. For less critical operations like internal transfers, scanning requirements can be relaxed based on your operational preferences.
How does photo capture at dispatch work?
At the pack station, after all items are scan-verified and before the box is sealed, the packer photographs the open box contents using the mobile device camera. The image is automatically linked to the order record in ProWMS. This provides visual proof of what was packed, supporting customer dispute resolution and reducing fraudulent claims.
Can ProWMS work with our existing barcode infrastructure?
Yes. ProWMS is barcode-format agnostic and works with any existing barcode labels on your products. If products arrive without barcodes, ProWMS generates and prints internal barcode labels at goods receipt. The system also supports dual-barcode workflows where both supplier barcodes and internal warehouse barcodes are used.
How does weight scale integration prevent shipping errors?
Weighing scales at pack and dispatch stations automatically capture actual packed weight. ProWMS compares this against expected weight (sum of item weights plus estimated packaging weight). A significant deviation — typically more than 5-10% — flags the shipment for re-verification before carrier handoff. This catches missing items, extra items, and packaging errors that visual inspection would miss.
What reporting does the automation layer provide?
The automation dashboard shows real-time metrics: scan rates per station, scan errors and exceptions, device uptime, processing times per transaction type, CCTV storage utilization, IoT sensor status, and environmental compliance rates. Historical reports support trend analysis for capacity planning, device procurement, and process optimization decisions.
